Committed to fostering sadaqah outreach to the needy in every locality and across the Nigerian nation since 2016.
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةًۭ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
"And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds." (Quran 21:107)
Temitope Mosque was established in 2016 with a vision to be more than just a place of worship - to be a beacon of hope, charity, and community service in Ipaja, Lagos.
Founded by a group of dedicated Muslims who recognized the need for organized Islamic charity in our community, the mosque began with humble initiatives to support widows, orphans, and the needy during Ramadan.
Over the years, through the mercy of Allah and the generous support of our community, we have grown into a comprehensive Islamic charity organization serving thousands of beneficiaries across Lagos State and beyond.
"The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." (Al-Tirmidhi)
To establish and maintain a mosque that serves as a center for Islamic worship, education, and charitable activities, fostering sadaqah outreach to the needy in every locality and across the Nigerian nation.
To become a model Islamic institution that exemplifies the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah through comprehensive community development, education, and sustainable charitable initiatives.
To operate with transparency, integrity, and compassion in all our activities, ensuring that every donation reaches those most in need and every action brings us closer to Allah's pleasure.
All our activities are guided by the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
We serve with empathy and kindness, recognizing the dignity of every human being.
We maintain open communication and accountability in all our operations and financial matters.
We believe in the power of collective action and the importance of supporting one another.
Temitope Mosque was established with the primary goal of serving as a place of worship and community center. Our first charitable initiative was a Ramadan iftar program serving 500 people.
We launched our orphan sponsorship program and began weekly Islamic education classes. The "Charity Front" committee was formally established to oversee all charitable activities.
Recognizing the healthcare needs in our community, we partnered with local clinics to launch our medical aid program, providing free check-ups and medication assistance.
We expanded our orphan support to include educational scholarships, school supplies, and after-school tutoring programs.
During the pandemic, we distributed food packages and hygiene kits to 300+ families and provided financial assistance to those affected by lockdowns.
We established a permanent food bank to provide monthly food packages to families facing food insecurity in our community.
We completed our first water well project as Sadaqah Jariyah, providing clean water to a rural community. Two more wells followed in subsequent months.
We launched our online donation platform with transparent tracking and micro-donation options, making it easier for people worldwide to support our causes.
We opened a skills acquisition center to provide vocational training to youths, helping them gain employable skills.
We served iftar to a record 10,000 people during Ramadan and distributed Eid clothing to 500 children from needy families.
Our plans include building an Islamic school, expanding our medical outreach with a mobile clinic, and establishing an endowment fund for sustainable charity.
Providing daily iftar meals to fasting Muslims and needy families throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
Support IftarComprehensive support including financial assistance, education, healthcare, and emotional support for widows and orphans.
Support OrphansFinancial assistance for medical treatments, surgeries, and medications for those who cannot afford healthcare.
Support Medical AidSupporting Islamic education, Quran memorization programs, and dawah activities to spread the message of Islam.
Support DawahConstructing water wells in rural communities as Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity).
Build a Water WellProviding school fees, uniforms, books, and vocational training to underprivileged students.
Support Education"As we reflect on our journey since 2016, we are humbled by the blessings of Allah and the support of our community. Temitope Mosque was founded on the principle that Islam is not just about worship, but about serving humanity and spreading mercy.
Every iftar meal shared, every orphan supported, every medical bill paid, and every Quran taught is a step toward fulfilling our duty as Muslims. We invite you to join us in this blessed journey of service."
